An all over workout with free childcare!

Buggyfit is a post-natal exercise class lead by a specialist post-natal instructor so you know you are getting back your post baby fitness in a safe way with the added extra benefit of the class being outdoors in the beautiful Pittville Park.

The class lasts an hour and we stop at various points around Pittville Park to carry out exercises using resistance bands and benches that will give you an all over body workout.

The exercises will improve posture, strength, aerobic fitness and general wellbeing resulting in a strong post baby body ready to move onto further exercise and activity.

You and your baby will also feel the benefit of being outdoors for an hour and although you have come to exercise, there’s plenty of time for a chat making it a sociable event too.

I carry out a tummy muscle check for muscle separation (diastasis) to ensure you know what level of exercise you should be working at. I will advise on things to avoid if necessary that will possibly make it worse, and how you can improve the situation by focussing on certain exercises.

With my background as a musculoskeletal physio, you are also in good hands to receive hints and tips on helping to manage any aches and pain that may occur following the birth of your baby.

FAQs

  • How long is the course?

The programme is 6 weeks for the live class sessions, weeks 1-6.  There is then an option to move on to a second 6 weeks (weeks 7-12) which is a progression from weeks 1-6 and will work you harder again.  The second part is delivered online via a closed Facebook group with a couple of live classes during this period to keep you motivated and to make sure you are happy with all the exercises.

  • How often should I do my homework?

The programme recommends that you aim for 4 times a week.  It will take about 20 mins and could be done in 2 halves to start with while you get used to all the exercises and build up to doing more exercise.

  • What should I bring to the class?

Come along in exercise clothes and bring a bottle of water.
